Your account
One account on every device
Your account holds your cards, your Ember Stones, your decks and your name. It can have several sign-ins, and each one opens the same account.
How each device signs in
- Android phones and tablets: Google, right on the device. Apple and Microsoft work too, through a page that opens in your browser.
- iPhone and iPad: Apple, right on the device. Google and Microsoft work too, through a page that opens over the game.
- Mac: the version from the App Store asks you to sign in with Apple, Google or Microsoft, in your browser.
- Windows: the version from the Microsoft Store asks you to sign in with Microsoft, Google or Apple, in your browser.
On a new device, use a sign-in your account already has, and everything is there. A different one starts a second account, which you can connect to yours later.
If This machine is the only sign-in on Profile, your progress can only be reached from that computer. Press Sign in with Google, Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Microsoft there to keep it on your account.
Connect another sign-in
- Open Profile: press your name in the top-left corner of the title screen.
- Under Sign-ins, press Connect beside Google, Apple or Microsoft.
- Sign in. If a web page opens, sign in on it, then go back to the game.
- Done: either sign-in now opens this account, on any device.
If that sign-in already has an account
If that account is new and unused, the sign-in simply moves to your account. If it has progress, the game shows Two accounts, one sign-in, with both accounts side by side: their cards, matches and Ember Stones.
- Press Keep this one under the account you want.
- The game shows the other account and asks Destroy this account? Read it, then press Destroy it.
- The account you kept now has the sign-ins of both. The other one is deleted for good, with its cards, Ember Stones and matches.
Progress is never added together: one account is kept and the other is deleted. Not sure? Press Cancel and nothing changes.
Disconnect a sign-in
On Profile, press Disconnect beside it. Everything stays on your account; that sign-in just stops opening it. The game may ask you to sign in once more first, to be sure it is you.
In use marks the sign-in you are using right now, and Only way in marks the last one an account has. Neither can be disconnected.
Steam
Iron & Ember is coming to Steam. Steam sign-in is not ready yet, so Profile lists Steam under Coming soon.
When the game arrives on Steam, it will sign you in with your Steam account by itself. To bring your progress from your phone, open Profile there, press Connect beside the sign-in your phone uses, and keep your phone’s account when the game asks.
