In a paragraph
Iron & Ember is a 3D collectible card game played at a table. Your deck is one pile of thirty-five, creatures, spells and terrains mixed however you like. Ember grows on its own every turn, so there are no resource cards and no dead draws, and you can borrow half an ember from your next turn when you need it. Terrains sit behind your lines and can never be destroyed. Every card is priced by the same rule, most cards can be upgraded to cost less, and the currency is earned by playing, never sold.
What makes it different
- No resource cards. Ember grows by itself every turn, so every card you draw is one you can use.
- Half embers. Borrow half an ember from next turn to make a play now.
- Aim everything, then strike. Point all your attackers first, then the whole wave lands at once. Even a creature that dies in the clash gets its hit in.
- Terrains are forever. Once a terrain is down, nothing can destroy it, and it works for you every turn.
- No pay to win. Cards and upgrades are earned by playing. Money buys looks, never power.
Trailer
Forty-six seconds, 1920 × 1080 at 24 frames a second, H.264 MP4 with AAC audio, 9.2 MB. Use it whole or cut it up. Three duels between the factions, each animated from the game's own paintings and then fought again on the board. The board footage is the game itself, playing real cards with its own sounds, and the music is a track from the soundtrack.
