How do I start a match?
Press Play online, then Play against a bot and pick its level: the match starts at once. Find an opponent plays whoever else is waiting, and after a minute offers you a bot instead. To play someone you know, press Play with a friend, then Create lobby, and give them the code; they type it on the same step and press Join.
The game says it is out of date.
Everyone has to play with the same cards and rules, so an old version can’t connect until it updates. The game offers the update right away. On PC it downloads only what changed, usually just a few megabytes. On a phone it sends you to Google Play or the App Store.
It keeps saying it is connecting, or cannot reach the server.
Check that you’re online and try again from the title screen. Some school and work networks block the connection the game uses. If it lasts more than a few minutes, let us know. The server might be updating, which never cuts a match short.
Where is my collection?
On your account, safe on our server. Sign in the same way on any device and your name, stones, cards and decks are all there.
Can I use Google, Apple, Microsoft and Steam on one account?
Google, Apple and Microsoft, yes: open Profile in the game and press Connect beside the one you want to add. Microsoft needs the latest version of the game. Steam will join them once Iron & Ember is on Steam. Your account on every device walks you through it, including what happens when both accounts already have progress.
Can I change my name?
Yes, on the Profile page from the title screen. Names have to be unique, and a word filter will tell you if it can’t accept one.
I found a bug, or a card that does not do what it says.
Thanks! Email us the card’s name, what happened and, if you can, which turn it happened on. A card that doesn’t do what it says is something we fix first.
How do I delete my account?
From the Profile page in the game: press Delete account and type your player name. Without the game, it takes one email; see deleting your account.
Press, business, or something else?
The same address reaches a person: support@ironember.net.
