Spend Ember Stones on a card to raise it through the tiers. Each one up to Refined makes it cheaper to play, and Perfected adds a free bonus ability. An upgrade never changes a card’s power or defence, so a deck of Normal cards can still beat anyone.

What a card pack holds
A card pack holds 7 cards of one faction: 6 round the outside and one in the middle. Each is drawn with an equal chance from that faction’s cards you have not yet taken to their highest tier. A pack costs 5 Ember Stones, and stones are only earned by playing: they are never sold.
